Travel information

  • TUNISIA – NEW ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
As of January 1, 2025, it will no longer be possible to enter the country with an identity card valid for travel abroad, even as part of organized group travel. Therefore, it will always be necessary to be in possession of a passport with residual validity of at least 3 months.
  • EUROPE – NEW ENTRY PROCEDURE FOR EXTRA SCHEGEN PASSENGERS
Starting November 10, 2024, the European Union will introduce the Entry and Exit System (Ees), a new border control system for non-EU travelers entering the Schengen Area. The Ees will digitally record travelers’ biometric data, replacing passport stamping and monitoring those who exceed the 90-day stay period. The system will be applied to citizens of non-EU countries who do not require visas.
In 2025, the Etias, a travel authorization to be obtained online to enter European countries, will also be introduced, with a cost of 7 euros and validity of three years.
  • INDONESIA – NEW ENTRY PROCEDURE
Please be advised to take note of the new procedure in place for entry into Indonesia.
It has become compulsory to fill out the form indicating health status and any travel made in the 21 days prior to departure.
  • UNITED KINGDOM – ETA ARRIVES, VISA FEE FOR ALL EUROPEAN TRAVELERS
As of April 2, 2025, an electronic authorization (ETA) will be required at a cost of about 12 euros to visit London and the United Kingdom. The requirement will cover European citizens, excluding the Irish and those with settled or pre-settled status. The ETA, similar to the U.S. ESTA system, will be valid for two years and allow multiple entries of up to six months, but will not allow work. The ETA can be applied for starting March 5 via app or government website, with a response within three days. It will also be mandatory for air stopovers in London.
  • TANZANIA – MANDATORY INSURANCE POLICIES.
As of Oct. 1, 2024, entering Tanzania for tourism purposes will be mandatory to take out an insurance policy to reimburse medical expenses, valid for the entire stay. For those traveling to Zanzibar, it will be necessary to purchase an insurance policy from the Zanzibar Insurance Corporations (ZIC), which is a subsidiary of the local Ministry of Finance. The policy must be purchased prior to departure, online at the official website, and will cost approximately US$44 per adult. Once subscribed, a QR code will be issued to show at check-in and upon arrival.
