Our company motto is “Changes for the Better.” Have you seen it applied in everyday work activities and/or in more challenging projects? If so, how?
Hello, everyone! My name is Nicoleta Cule, and I am part of the M2X Logistics team as a Material Planner. Specifically, I am responsible for some of the sheet metal codes.
In my daily activities, I constantly see our company motto, “Changes for the Better,” being applied.
Among the many activities aimed at optimizing the supply chain, I would like to mention the periodic maintenance of carpentry batches, which is carried out by the purchasing department’s contact person together with the Material Planners.
The main objective of this activity is to analyze the batches currently set, in relation to actual consumption, which can vary considerably over a year, mainly due to phase-in/phase-out. Any nesting reported by suppliers is also evaluated, and any increase or decrease (or even, in some cases, elimination) of the batch is discussed. Obviously, all activities must be understood in terms of savings.
