40 years of innovation and commitment in MEPPI

Founded in 1985, MEPPI (Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc.)—the US subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation—is celebrating its 40th anniversary, marking a history of growth, innovation, and dedication to customer service. Headquartered in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, the company has evolved from a manufacturer focused on high-voltage circuit breakers to a comprehensive portfolio of advanced solutions for energy, power electronics, rail transportation, critical power systems, and large-scale video displays.
Today, MEPPI has over 1,400 employees in the United States and abroad, operating in strategic sectors such as electric utilities, data centers, public transportation, and sports facilities. Among its most recent projects is the construction of a new 15,000-square-meter facility for advanced switchgear manufacturing in Pennsylvania.

President & CEO Tricia Breeger emphasized that the company’s success is the result of synergy between global expertise and local innovation, with a strong focus on quality and sustainability: “We have built a culture that combines global experience and local innovation, with the aim of strengthening North American communities.

Social commitment is an integral part of MEPPI’s identity: every year, employees devote thousands of hours to volunteering, supported by the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation, actively contributing to schools, associations, and non-profit organizations.
This anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate customers, partners, and collaborators (including MEHITS) who have contributed to the company’s journey, guided by values such as innovation, reliability, environmental responsibility, and attention to people—all elements encapsulated in the motto “Powered by Purpose.”
