Let’s meet Matteo Leggio, in his new role as production manager!
Hi Matteo, how are you feeling in your new role?
As with my previous role, I am fortunate to be doing a job that I enjoy and am passionate about.
I feel part of a team and every day I try my best to be able to contribute to reaching the goals.
I am just starting out and I still have a lot to learn, and in this I have to thank all my colleagues who are supporting me and helping me grow.
Is there anything you miss from your old role (Planning Specialist)?
Workwise, no, if I took this path, it is also because I saw in it a continuation, and further development, of the aspects I was most passionate about in planning.
I certainly miss all those colleagues with whom I worked closely for the last three years, especially those in Logistics and Back Office, with whom I built great relationships. Now as I am spending more time in production, I experience less office relationships as a result.
Would you like to give any advice to colleagues who are changing or would like to change roles in the company?
From my experience, I think it is normal over time to discover aspects of one’s job that we prefer over others. Changing roles can be an opportunity to explore our preferences in more depth, even if it requires some commitment; you leave your comfort zone and start, in many respects, from the beginning. I think it is crucial to be willing to put yourself back out there and to want to learn humbly from more experienced colleagues.
