In Italy we are seeing in recent weeks how important it is to take care of our environment.
Every company can contribute to this goal by analyzing its production processes and verifying where CO2 emissions responsible for the greenhouse effect can be reduced.
Mitsubishi Electric has the SBT certification (Science Based Target) in which it commits to reduce CO2 emissions by 100% by 2030.
The SBT certification is based on the Paris agreements “COP21” in which the reduction of CO2 serves to mitigate the increase of 1.5 degrees of the entire planet.
MEHITS participates in the SBT certification with a “CO2 reduction plan” based on the analysis of each site.
In this plan there are long-term projects, such as the elimination of methane for heating, or “simpler” projects such as the reduction of electricity consumption linked to compressed air.
At the M12 site (Alpago), reducing compressed air losses has made it possible to eliminate 3.7 tons/year of CO₂.
An excellent result for the environment!
