Colleagues at Valle Salimbene already know this, but we want to share with everyone some projects that have affected the canteen at the Valle Salimbene (PV) plant in recent months to make the service even faster, more efficient and sustainable!
In fact, as of November 2024, digital reservation of the canteen service has been introduced: through an app that can be downloaded to your smartphone, you can view the weekly menu and conveniently confirm your daily reservation by 2:30 p.m. on the previous day.
This initiative has been appreciated by all. The new reservation mode has made it possible to streamline the reservation process itself and better plan the preparation of dishes, reducing waste.
March 2025 also saw the start of the new process of getting rid of trays: with a view to encouraging differentiated waste collection within the company, a station was created in the canteen room, which allows waste sorting, carried out independently by each employee at the end of the meal. A flow and methods were designed that could make the operation as smooth as possible. This initiative, too, has been well received and has made it possible to raise people’s awareness of an approach toward environmental sustainability, in the knowledge that everyone, on a daily basis, can make a contribution.
