In recent years, the gap between companies and students has become wider and wider. Needs are different, expectations change, and there is often a certain fear of the unknown. However, when the opportunity arises to participate in an innovative and out-of-the-box project like Smart&Hack, one cannot miss it.
Risorse spa, an employment agency, created this format seven years ago. Smart&Hack represents a collaboration between companies, institutions and universities throughout Italy. The primary objective is to bring university students closer to companies through a shared and experiential path.
How does Smart&Hack work?
- Challenge definition. The companies involved launch challenges on innovation topics. These challenges concern areas such as the environment, technology, health or social innovation.
- Involvement of students. Student teams participate in the challenges. They work on real challenges, presenting innovative projects.
- Presentation Day. During the event, teams present their work to a jury of company representatives. It is an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and ideas.
Our company proposed a challenge dedicated to the environment, which we called Optimisation&Paperless Process. The objective was to innovate and digitise the process related to machine assembly documentation. With a green perspective, we looked for solutions to reduce the use of paper and optimise the workflow.

Our project was chosen by six teams of students. On 3 May, during the presentation day, we had the pleasure of having our CPO, Andrea Marchioro, among the company representatives. Out of a total of 22 projects, Bijavù – one of the teams that chose our project – came second in the overall ranking. But the real satisfaction was winning the S&H Innovation Award for the most innovative project! 😎
We would like to thank our mentor, Ruben De Rocco, who guided the guys along the creative path. And a special thanks to Andrea Marchioro, who acted as spokesperson for our company.
Smart&Hack represents an effective and unconventional way to promote collaboration between different realities. It is a format that looks to the future, stimulating innovation and growth in our country.
Who knows… maybe next year it will be ours! 😉🚀
