But how did this inter-company tournament come about? In 2007 among the departments of Fami the desire to create an internal football tournament was born. 2013 was the turning point: the first inter-company tournament was born, with local companies. Over the years the tournament has expanded more and more: from 6 to 18 participating companies. In addition to football, there are also beach volleyball and, in recent years, basketball. In 2023 this tournament includes 21 participating companies! To date, Win:Win embraces a whole world of families, entrepreneurs, workers, and volunteers who exceed 6000 people. 

And we at MEHITS have always heard about it, we asked “why don’t we participate too?”, “but when does it start?” 

Could we abstain? Of course not! And we decided to make up for it! This year we participated for the first time in this tournament organized by iMilani, a company from Rosà that has made part of its space available to build a beach volleyball court, a 5-a-side football court and a basketball court. We had the opportunity to participate in every sport – except for women’s beach volleyball due to lack of places, but we will do it next year – and put ourselves to the test. To date, the beach volleyball boys have remained in the competition, and on July 11^th at 22.00 will be the quarterfinals. We are ready to cheer, and fingers crossed! 

What did we bring home from this experience anyway? It allowed us to get to know each other better among departments that have little opportunity to collaborate, our supporter section was born (thanks to Alessandro’s drum!), we got involved having never played a game together … And what is the result? THAT NEXT YEAR WE WILL BE BACK! Stay tuned 😉
