Bangalore
What company within the Group do you work for?
CVI (Climaveneta India)
Please introduce CVI to someone who is not familiar with it.
CVI is a key player in the applied HVAC market in India. Specialising in chillers, heat pumps and high precision air-conditioners (HPAC) for comfort , process and Data Center applications. Founded in 2010, the company has grown rapidly in India and is amongst the largest organisation’s for applied HVAC products. The organisation prides itself as an end to end solution provider right from customer engagement, manufacturing and after sales services.
As Dy. CEO, could you describe your role and main responsibilities?
My role covers both strategic and operational responsibilities. Involved in Marketing (Product , Price , Place & Promotion), Driving IT Cooling Growth in domestic market and support for the export market. Additonally, I have a new role in CI (Continuous Improvement) within cross functional teams to improve organisational efficiency.
What is CVI’s core expertise in the applied HVAC and IT Cooling business?
Hard to narrow it down to one or two parameters but CVI’s core expertise is that organisation works as a solution provider and NOT as product supplier. Most team members engaging with customers understand HVAC systems (not just individual components in the system). Additionally, we have developed a strong network for after sales (installation, commissioning and service maintenance) in-house. All this backed by quality and efficient product design.
What are the main technological or market trends currently shaping the development of CVI products?
India is a rapidly growing economy and many companies (overseas and domestic) are investing in in large infrastructure. The exponential growth in India is being driven by AI and the sharp rise in data usage & mining. Making India one of the largest data center hubs in the world in the next 5 years. Government push in renewable energy and semiconductor industry. Our product development strategy is aligned with this.
How are customer needs and expectations evolving in the last years?
Customers are now transitioning into educated buyers. They have sufficient technical acumen on products & technologies. They expect specific products/solutions for specific applications rather than generic products/solutions that can fit all. This can be challenging but is helping CVI drive innovation and push boundaries.
Looking ahead, what do you see as the main opportunities and growth drivers for CVI within the Group?
CVI has transitioned into an organisation that can not only deliver a strong product to the domestic market , but is ready to export and support MEHITS Group in regions like Middle East, Africa & Oceania amongst others.
Another oppurtunity the market is welcoming, is a 1 stop solution (Electro-Mechanical), for any building infra For example: Power distribution (switch gears and UPS), chillers and BMS. Being part of the Mitsubishi Electric Group, we can levarage this with our wide array in product basket.
