There are stories that deserve to be told because they demonstrate, in concrete terms, what it means to believe in one’s own path. One such story is that of Leonardo Gnoato, one of our Thermotechnical Designers, who in recent years has taken on a demanding and courageous challenge: working full-time at MEHITS while simultaneously pursuing an international master’s degree in Energy Engineering at the University of Padua.
Leonardo describes this journey as an intense period, filled with evenings spent poring over books, weekends dedicated to studying, and a long series of sacrifices. But, as he explains with great clarity, it was much more than that.
It was a journey during which she learned to know herself better, to test her own determination, and to realize that what seems impossible at first is often simply something that hasn’t been achieved yet.
“Every exam I passed wasn’t just an academic achievement, but a confirmation that investing in yourself always pays off. There were certainly difficulties: exhaustion, doubts, nights when I thought about giving it all up. Yet, every time, a small inner voice reminded me why I had started.”
His words remind us that every journey of personal growth is made up of quiet steps, often invisible to others: the pages studied at night, the discipline of maintaining a steady pace, the courage not to give up in the toughest moments. And it is precisely from this daily perseverance that, as he himself points out, true strength is born.
This journey has taught him the value of small steps, perseverance, and staying focused on his goals. A mindset we also see today in his work at MEHITS, where he continues to bring that same energy—a blend of resilience and a drive to improve.
