With the increase in IT loads and the growing adoption of Artificial Intelligence applications, cooling has become more critical than ever for data centers. It is within this context that ME-CDU was developed, the new fluid distribution unit from Mitsubishi Electric, designed to make liquid cooling more stable, controlled and reliable even in the most demanding environments.
ME-CDU has been designed to operate within hybrid cooling systems, where liquid cooling directly manages the heat generated by the most sensitive components, while air based solutions support environmental control and load balancing. This approach improves overall efficiency without compromising design flexibility.
A first prototype of the unit was presented at the industry event Data Center World in London, where it attracted strong interest from designers and operators.
ME-CDU will also be showcased at Data Center World Frankfurt, offering another opportunity to see the solution in person and explore its features in more detail. In the meantime, we are continuing to refine the final technical aspects, with the goal of officially launching the unit by the summer.
