Safety at work takes shape in people and in everyday behaviors. One example of this is Mattia Fant, Warehouse Team Leader at the Alpago plant, who recently acted quickly to extinguish a fire that was starting to spread, preventing potentially more serious consequences for his colleagues and the workplace.

His quick thinking and clear-headedness demonstrate how essential training is for dealing with emergency situations effectively. Knowing the procedures and being able to apply them at the right moment makes all the difference and turns prevention into concrete action.
“I simply put into practice what we are taught during safety training,” says Mattia. “In those moments, there is no time to think too much: it is important to stay focused, remain calm, and follow the procedures you know. My colleagues who were present also took immediate action with care and a sense of responsibility, helping to manage the situation in an orderly manner.”
Incidents like this show how much each person, in their own role, can actively contribute to protecting people and workspaces. This incident reminds us that safety is not just a set of rules, but a shared responsibility that is built every day through attention, preparation, and awareness. Mattia’s intervention is a positive example for everyone.
Congratulations to Mattia and the entire firefighting team! 👏
