As part of our employee sponsorship activities, we are delighted to have recently contributed to a project that promotes knowledge and enthusiasm for natural sciences and astronomy. Thanks to our support, the Bellona Naturalist Group was able to complete the purchase of a new mount for astronomical observation, now in use at the Museum of Natural History and Archaeology in Montebelluna (TV).

The Group’s President, Fabio Lanza, sent us this message of thanks:
As President of the Bellona Naturalistic Group, I would like to thank MEHITS for their contribution, which has enabled us to complete our fundraising campaign for the purchase of a new Sky-Watcher EQ8 equatorial mount, which we recently installed at the Museum of Natural History and Archaeology in Montebelluna (TV) to replace an obsolete model. This will enable us to provide a better service to the citizens who visit the museum during astronomy outreach events (more than a thousand every year!) and to expand the possibilities for our enthusiasts in the field of astrophotography and the exoplanet research program. Here are the first images collected thanks to the new equipment. These are just tests; even more exciting and higher quality shots await us. Come and visit us!

A small gesture that looks far ahead… all the way to the stars!
