Following the terrible news about the devastating earthquakes that struck southern Turkey and northern Syria on Monday, February 6^th, relief efforts remain ongoing, and the death toll sadly continues to rise. Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. has committed to donating £20,000 towards humanitarian efforts taking place in the region. The donation will be made through the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), which coordinates charities like the Red Cross or Oxfam, to provide much needed supplies and relief to the area.   

MEU President Shunji Kurita commented “Mitsubishi Electric Europe is making this donation alongside the one already made by our parent company Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, and our local branch Mitsubishi Electric Turkey A.Ş. We hope this donation will contribute to aid efforts already taking place in the region affected by the earthquakes”. 

The thoughts of all Mitsubishi Electric Europe colleagues are with the people affected, and the emergency workers already providing valued help in the region.
